Dr. Fussell, a Board Certified Physician, leads our team of highly qualified professionals. She is dedicated to conducting research in an ethical, compassionate, and friendly environment that satisfies the needs of both sponsors and subjects.

As a Compassionate Private Investigator, Dr. Fussell serves as Principal Investigator at Long Beach Clinical Trials and leads the investigating research teams in  conducting clinical trials, that involve many Autonomic Nervous System (CNS), disorders, Women’s Health issues as well as Cardiovascular diseases. Upcoming trials include Diabetes, Thyroid disorders, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) and Asthma. Additional studies to come include studies on Skin Infections, Fibromyalgia and more. Dr. Fussell has been certified in Good Clinical Practices, by National Institute of Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Fussell is dedicated to the clinical evaluation and treatment of patients living with Heart Disease, and has served as Staff Research Investigator in the Division of Cardiology at UCLA with an emphasis on evaluating treatment options for patients living with Atherosclerosis. She has also previously completed successful Research Fellowships at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta as well as did research on Hypertension with the National Institute of Health.

A California Native! A true Californian at heart, in her free time, Dr. Fussell enjoys spending time at the beach with her family and kids. Outside of this she is also an Active member of an international service sorority Delta Sigma Theta Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as The Links Incorporated and the California Medical Association.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joseph Iwuajoku, PA, MBA

Director, Clinical Research  / Sub-Investigator

 

Mr. Joseph Iwuajoku  is a nationally certified and state-licensed Physician Assistant.  He is a Medical practitioner  serving the community of long beach for the last 17 years.

Mr. Iwuajoku  graduated from  the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ  in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Behavioral  Sciences.  Thereafter, he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from College of Medicine, Unilag-University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria in 1992 and his Physician Assistant degree from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Los Angeles, CA in 1994. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration (1999) from the Pepperdine University, CA.

In  addition to serving as a Medical Practitioner, he is also the founder and president of St. Nazarene Medical Clinic., Long Beach, CA. 

Mr. Iwuajoku is very knowledgeable of clinical research budgeting, research methodologies, Good Clinical Practices and IRB protocols. He has also been certified in Good Clinical Practices, by National Institute of Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the Department of Health and Human Services.

In addition to his other  professional accomplishments, he has rendered his free services to the homeless population of Oxnard, CA and has been recognized for his contributions by the Ventura Medical Society.
